Geopolitics – riskier than ever for the financial services industry? June 2023

Date: June 2023 Description: – Financial services professionals are used to managing multiple risks, spanning operational and regulatory to credit, market and other financial factors. Never before have the geopolitical stakes seemed so high though, as the first European conflict in decades rages on and the world shifts from a US-dominated unipolar power structure to a multipolar one. These events and evolutions have real consequences for the financial sector and its customers, i.e. all of us. An obvious example is the rise in interest rates driven by energy market-led inflation, but there is plenty more besides this to consider. Join us for a roundtable discussion, co-hosted by a very special speaker, at which we will consider the main issues of the day, what the future may hold, and how we might all plan to react, in order to protect our businesses and ourselves.

We are hosting this intimate and impactful event at The Don Restaurant, newly renovated and reopened as of early 2023, and still located on St. Swithin’s Lane, between Cannon Street and King William Street. This is to be one of the first in a series of events commemorating our 8th anniversary as Halsey Keetch and our 35th in the City over the coming months, and we would be delighted to see you there. All our events are designed to be inclusive and high-quality, with a chaired conversation taking place between a small number of guests over a seated breakfast. We offer places on a first-come, first-served basis, and given the size and format of our events, would kindly ask that if you do request a place, you commit to attending, in order for the event to be truly successful.
