The Halsey Keetch Book Club – Focusing on Mental Health in the Workplace February 22
Description: In this special edition of our popular The Halsey Keetch Book Club, we will focus on the topic of Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace. On this occasion we are delighted to be joined by Peter Slater who has nearly four decades’ experience in the financial services industry. He has held a number of senior positions including Head of Client Service at Northern Trust, where he worked for 22 years. Whilst at Northern Trust, Peter was also Head of Diversity & Inclusion for three years and spearheaded a mental health campaign for which he received the Chairman’s Award. Peter trained as a Mental Health First Aid instructor, qualifying in 2020. As well as being an MHFA instructor, he is also an associate trainer for City Mental Health Alliance.
There is a choice of two books for this session: ‘The Chimp Paradox,’ by Professor Steve Peters, OR ‘Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace,’ by Gill Hasson. Please choose whichever appeals to you, then bring your thoughts and ideas along to the session and share your views with the group
We have mastered the art of online events, with inclusion at the core of every discussion that we host. We keep guest numbers for individual events low so that we can include every participant in our events, enabling a balanced selection of views and opinions, as well as encouraging discussion and ideas sharing. There is nothing disconnected or impersonal about our online sessions and it is always a pleasure to welcome new guests. We hope to bring people together at some in-person events in 2022.
