Our Story

Our story began in 1988 when the wave of de-regulation in the mid-1980s created a financial services industry that was new and exciting, but at times more perilous than before. Nigel Halsey, the founder of Halsey Consulting, believed that a successful financial services industry needed to be an effectively regulated one. The compliance, risk and audit disciplines began to evolve and, in response, Halsey Consulting set out to enhance clients’ governance and leadership capabilities through exemplary executive search.

Financial regulation has continued to grow in prominence and complexity and over the years we have seen substantial growth across the asset management, insurance and banking sectors. The scale and influence of the controls functions has also expended significantly. Caroline Keetch joined Halsey in 2003 and worked alongside Nigel for over a decade.  She founded Halsey Keetch in early 2015, and was joined by her partner Alex Keetch to work with clients in search of exceptional governance leadership.  The team is proud that the Halsey name remains at the heart of the leadership network in these critical areas.
